Legends come together for tribute row
In this video podcast, Mahé Drysdale chats to Andy Hay following the 2022 World Rowing Championships where he rowed in the tribute row for Czech rowing legend Ondřej Synek.
"... With Covid, Ondřej didn't go to the Olympics last year and he retired but never really got a send-off and with the World Champs.
Being held in in Czech Republic, there was an opportunity to have a proper celebration for him. He invited his five greatest rivals from over the years... It was nice to come together and have a bit of a bit of fun and race one last time.” Mahé Drysdale.
